Liena Live at Arq

agendaarq-250.jpgAt just 19-years-old, Sydney RnB singer/songwriter Liena has her sights set on success. Taking inspiration from singers like Beyonce, Rihanna and Mariah Carey, Liena is making an impact on the local RnB scene with her hot new single, the rousing RnB/dance number ‘Go Crazy’. And she’s set to do just that at ARQ nightclub this Sunday night in her gay club debut.

“I think ARQ will have a really fun and welcoming crowd so hopefully they’ll love the tracks and enjoy the performance,” Liena tells SX. She adds that her performance will be “a show you’ll want to see again – energetic, all about fun. You’ll hear tracks that will get you dancing, if not singing along by the end of it.”

Liena has just completed her debut album through Sydney’s The Sound Academy, alongside artists like Ricki-Lee, Paulini and Selwyn. ‘Go Crazy’ shows off Liena’s upbeat edge, though she is equally adept at belting out ballads as she is comfortable on the dance floor.

“‘Go Crazy’ just makes you want to go dance,” she says. “It’s a feel-good track and has a real ‘anthem’ feel to it. It’s just about having a good time and is such fun to perform.

When I’m performing, I’m truly in my element.”

Liena Live at ARQ Sunday School, Sunday, September 21, 9pm, ARQ Sydney, 16 Flinders Street, Darlinghurst, $5 entry.
