Sleaze Ball 2008

sleazeway-300.jpgThe wait is over – Sleaze Ball 2008 is finally here.

This Saturday night, more than 5,000 partygoers will descend into the Hordern Pavillion, which will be transformed into a den of wickedness, abomination, mischief and depravity in celebration of this year’s innovative theme – The Villains’ Lair.

Now in its 27th year, Sleaze Ball is Australia’s premier costume event and in 2008, there’ll be no shortage of be evil geniuses, scoundrels, misfits and deviants. Music sensations The Potbelleez headlines the entertainment, backed by an array of Australia’s leading local talent, including dance star Demi Sorona, who is making her Sleaze Ball debut. DJs Alan Thompson, Sveta, Mark Murphy and Simon Caldwell take the reins at the Hordern (Caldwell replaces Deepchild who, due to scheduling conflict, has been forced to withdraw), while DJs Beatrix, Luke Leal, GI Jode and Jake Kilby will keep the temperature rising at the Hordern’s forecourt.

Also making its spectacular return is Project Sleazeway, Sleaze Ball’s sexy costume walk-off. Here, partygoers will have the opportunity to strut their and show Sydney what villains are truly made of. Award-winning costume designers Tim Chappel, Mitzi Macintosh and Mama Shirl will be on hand judging the best in show, dishing out prizes in excess of $5000.

So, if you haven’t bought your ticket yet, now is the time to do it. At the time of going to press, only a few were still available and there’s every likelihood that Sleaze Ball 2008 be a sell-out event. Don’t miss out.

From everyone at SX, we wish you all a happy and safe Sleaze.
