STAGE BEAUTIES
Playing at the Newtown Theatre, Wayne Tunks’ The Rules of April delivers romantic comedy with bite.
Since their teenage years, April and her two sisters followed a list of 10 rules – the most important being “never fall in love”, to cope with their parents’ failing marriage.
Years later, their father runs off with his gay lover, leaving the girls to reconsider the upsides of romance. The experienced young cast includes Salvatore Coco (Looking for Alibrandi) and Bree Desborough (Home and Away).
The Rules of April, Tunks Productions, Wednesday, June 11 – Saturday, July 5, Tuesday – Saturday 8pm, Newtown Theatre, Cnr King and Bray Streets, $30/$25 (Concession), groups of 8+ $24 each, Tight Tuesdays $15, Student Wednesdays $10, June 11 preview, $10.
