Part of a global campaign to end violence against women and girls, V-Day Sydney 2008 will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a one-off benefit performance of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues on Sunday, June 29 at the Parade Theatre.
Starring some of Australia’s greatest female performers including Julia Zemiro (pictured), Noni Hazlehurst and Amanda Keller, the show blends irreverent humour with pathos by probing a question that’s sure to get tongues wagging: if your vagina could talk, what would it say?
The event will raise much-needed funds for the NSW Women’s Refuge Movement.
V-Day Sydney 2008 special show, The Vagina Monologues, Parade Theatre, 215 Anzac Parade, Kensington, Sunday, June 29, 5pm, tickets $65/$45 concession. Book at ticketek.com.au or call 1300 795 012. For more information, visit vday.org.
