MARDI GRAS WINDOW DISPLAY COMPETITION 2010

Calling all shops, businesses, window dressers and visual merchandisers – the Mardi Gras Window Display Competition is back!

Now in its third big year, the Mardi Gras Window Display Competition is a unique opportunity for shops and business to get into the Mardi Gras spirit. In 2009, more than fifteen businesses took part, from locations all over Sydney, including Darlinghurst, Potts Point, Sydney CBD, Haymarket, Newtown and Enmore. Among them were bookstores, fashion boutiques, factory outlets, gift shops, party supplies stores and a travel agent.

Presented by New Mardi Gras in partnership with SX, the competition has been designed to foster the Mardi Gras spirit, by having shops windows festooned with decorations that celebrate the Mardi Gras season theme. Participants will need to have their decorations up for the duration of the festival, which runs from February 21 to March 7.

Up for grabs is a prize package totalling over $4400 which includes an advertising campaign in SX, as well as an editorial profile on the business to be published in SX in 2010.

All you have to do is dress your shop window during the Mardi Gras Festival (February 21-March 7) with a display that celebrates the 2010 season theme: ‘Mardi Gras’ History of the World’.
