May I take this private moment to be brutally honest with you? I don’t get Delta. I’ve tried, I’ve desired, and I’ve longed to create a connect with the big-haired pianist, but all to no avail. Rather, the great abyss continues to widen as Delta follows a familiar musical path, clearly one that I don’t want to share.

Her “old before her time” disposition is reflected in her pained lyrics, her artificial delivery and her dowdy presentation. She’s like ONJ’s younger sister, rather than her grand daughter, despite the years making this easily credible. Why Delta is so damaged and only writes tortured ballads of cruel romance remains a secret.
