Alterna-pop princess Roison is the chicklette that her contemporaries (and I am so not going to name any names here, cos we all know who I’m talking about anyway) should be listening too.

She is almost single-handedly rebuilding a new energy and vibrancy back into the predicable and oft-tired lady pop that’s forced upon us.

As the second single to get a local release from her mega-favourited Overpowered album, ‘You Know Me Better’ has all the hallmarks of a big gay classic.

There’s the attractively fashion-forward sound, the somewhat pained message, a very danceable house beat, and a range of sexy remixes, including a midnight murderer from Groove Armada’s Andy Cato. If you only download one single this week, make it Mizz Murphy.
