While he didn’t win the 2008 Mr Priapewear International Competition, Australian finalist Luke Bennett is just as ecstatic to be a runner-up.
“While I would rather have won first place, coming second was very exciting because I went into the competition with no expectations other than bringing out the performance I could,” Bennett, 21, told SX from Montreal, Canada, where the event was held last weekend.
Bennett, a pharmaceutical student from Sydney, won the Australian final of the all-male competition hosted by SX’s sister publication, AXN, and AllGayCruises.com.au in March earlier this year.
Bennett said the experience has enabled him to gain more confidence, and he hopes to incorporate modelling part-time with a career in sales and marketing.
