Crowds turn up for vigil PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 30 January 2008
Around 500 people gathered at Harmony Park, Surry Hills on Saturday for the Reclaim the Right Vigil against homophobic violence.

p03-vigil-550.jpgParticipants braved the hot afternoon sun to listen to community personalities including Courtney Act, Shauna Jensen, Maxi Shields, Steph Sands, Shelley Dahl, Liberal Councillor Shayne Mallard, Lord Mayor Clover Moore and ACON President Adrian Lovney. The crowd later held hands and walked from the park to Taylor Square waving pink and Indigenous flags and blowing whistles.
