Daylight saving ups Sleaze start time

sleaze300.jpgPartygoers take note: the commencement time for the year’s biggest costume party – Sleaze Ball – has been moved forward to 9pm in light of daylight savings which is scheduled to begin on the same night.

The move will ensure that partygoers still get a full ten hours of music and entertainment, despite clocks being moved forward an hour at 2am.

Preparations are well underway for the New Mardi Gras event, taking place this year under the theme ‘The Villain’s Lair’, which will feature a host of international and local performers. The Villain’s Lair also heralds the return of the popular 'Project Sleazeway', a fashion show walk-off for people who like to strut their stuff. Project Sleazeway will be judged by leading figures in the fashion industry and there will be some big prizes to be won. More details to be announced next week.

Joining headliners The Potbelleez are DJs Sveta, Mark Murphy, Deepchild, Alan Thompson, Luke Leal, Jake Kilby, Beatrix and GI Jode, as well as performances by Mitzi Macintosh, Tora Hymen, Charisma Belle, Mystique Jewel and Natasha Knowles. Also appearing is Sydney burlesque performer Lillian Starr alongside D-Vynil.

Said Sleaze Ball choreographer, Aaron Farley: “We’re going to bring The Villain’s Lair to life with a cacophony of characters pulled from Disney through to Mad Max through to your worst fantasy.”

Sleaze Ball will be held on Saturday, October 4 at Hordern Pavillion, Moore Park. Tickets $119/$99 members available now - CLICK HERE .
