GLBT radio show moves to new time
GLBT radio talk show TheQueernoise will be moving to a new timeslot of 7pm Friday on community station 2SER FM. The move, part of a wider programming restructure, also heralds a more compact structure, which will see the program run from 60 minutes to 30 minutes.
Producer Stephen Pickells told SX the move was exciting because of its potential to reach new listeners. And despite its shorter duration, Pickells added that the change will allow for an opportunity to tighten the format and make the show more accessible to the community.
“We really want to open a show to new ideas because there are different segments of the community that might have a different take on things than just myself,” he told SX.
“And we specifically want to hear from lesbians. Women, generally, don’t get much of a voice in radio, as the males do. So anyone is welcome to join.”
TheQueernoise will be airing in its new timeslot on Friday, July 4 on 107.3 FM.
