After five big weeks, The Midnight Shift will crown Sydney’s best new drag queen at tonight’s grand final of So You Think You Can Drag.
Ten drag performers will vie for prizes including a trip to Bali. Host Tora Hymen said she has been impressed by this year’s contestants, the calibre of which has been very high.
The event will feature guest performances by Cleo Coupe, Mystique and Natasha Knowles, as well as an auction with members from gay rugby team Sydney Convicts.
“There has been a lot of negative feedback in regards to drag lately, but the crowd support we have had for the competition so far just proves that the community still loves drag queens,” Tora told SX.
The event will be held tonight (May 15) at 9:00pm at The Midnight Shift.
