Evolution Publishing has announced the appointment of Reg Domingo as Editor of its flagship publication, SX.
Evolution Publishing Publisher, Peter Walton, said: “After receiving many applicants for the position, it was evident we had the best person for the position of Editor of SX already in our editorial team.”
Domingo, 28, began his career at Evolution Publishing in early 2006 working as a staff writer for a number of titles under its portfolio including SX, MCV, Queensland Pride, SX National and Fellow Traveller. In late 2006, Domingo became the Deputy Editor of Evolution Publishing’s annual publications, SX Compact and MCV Compact.
In 2007, he took on the role of Editor of AXN (formerly SX National). During this time, he continued to serve as a staff journalist for SX.
“I’m very excited to be taking on the role of Editor of SX, Sydney’s leading gay and lesbian magazine,” Domingo said. “SX plays a vital part in Australia’s GLBT media landscape and I look forward to continuing its role of being a voice and forum for the GLBT community.”
Domingo said his priorities were to continue SX's focus of providing strong editorial content from covering local news to generating in-depth features. “And I look forward to strengthening relationships with the GLBT community while serving the interests of our readers and building on the title’s success.”
Domingo succeeds Brad Johnston who served as Editor from 2005 to 2008.
