Adelaide’s annual LGBT festival, Feast, kicked off last Saturday night, with numerous interstate visitors and performers among the large crowd.Events began with Pride March, commencing at Rundle Park and culminating on the Barr-Smith Lawns at Adelaide University, where the Opening Night Party was held. Feast’s Artistic Director, Daniel Clarke, said over 5000 people attended this year’s party. “The atmosphere was amazing … and the line up of queer entertainment was outstanding – Ikochi, Team Plastique, Lea DeLaria, Kaboobie, Sista Func, Taylor Mac, The Bad Father, The Blow Waves, The Blush Foundation and Club Kooky entertained the crowd with cutting edge, unique and fabulous performances,” Clarke told SX. “I was so inspired by the calibre of the artists and was thrilled to speak to so many visitors from interstate. I’ve never seen Adelaide so deliciously bent before.” Feast ’08 continues until Sunday November 30. Visit www.feast.org.au for more information.
